The revitalization of Heitzman Recreation Center represented a multimillion-dollar investment in a longstanding Philadelphia neighborhood resource, improving both the recreation building and surrounding outdoor spaces.
Working as a Trade Partner on the larger project, Torrado Construction provided concrete and masonry services for specific interior and exterior improvements. Torrado’s exterior scope included concrete associated with basketball court improvements, benches, tables, and other site features. Interior work included masonry associated with restroom improvements and block wall construction.
The work demonstrates Torrado’s ability to provide focused concrete and masonry expertise within a broader public recreation improvement program.
The larger revitalization created improved spaces for athletics, recreation, and community programming. By contributing its concrete and masonry capabilities to the project, Torrado helped support the continued use of a neighborhood facility designed to bring people together.
